The scope of works encompasses:
As part of our partnership approach, we have provided office space at our local SSE Enterprise Contracting premises for Council staff who are involved in the administration of the contract. This not only has cost savings and efficiencies for the council, but also improves communications with the diverse number of stakeholders, ranging from Building Managers, Librarians, and Council staff.
Over the course of the contract, we’ve worked with the council to deliver a number of energy efficiency and capital projects such as school lighting refurbishments, commercial boiler optimisation and replacement, and the installation of low loss transformers. This has enabled the council pursue their energy and carbon reduction targets that also include initiatives such as solar PV and combined heat and power (CHP).
At SSE Enterprise Contracting, we’re able to respond to the council’s requirements by mobilising a large, directly employed team of M&E engineers trained to ensure that large projects are delivered professionally, safely and in short time scales to suit the customer needs. This gives the Council confidence that their planned works have the support of a flexible, multi-skilled organisation that they can trust to deliver service excellence.
