SSE Enterprise Contracting has been awarded its 8th consecutive RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award and its Electrical and Instrumentation division received the RoSPA Order of Distinction Award having achieved 16 consecutive Gold Awards.
The high performance of SSE Enterprise Contracting’s specialist Electrical and Instrumentation division is particularly notable as the majority of the E&I work is carried out in extremely hazardous environments.
The RoSPA Awards scheme, dating back 57 years, is the largest and longest- running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme not only looks at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Daron Mullineaux, Managing Director, said: “SSE Enterprise Contracting are very proud and honoured to accept this award. We take safety as our main priority and believe all accidents are preventable, so we do everything safely and responsibly or not at all.”
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. SSE Contracting has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”
