SSE Enterprise Telecoms has announced that it is providing a new state-of-the-art data centre in West London with a range of cutting-edge connectivity solutions. Customers of the VIRTUS LONDON2 data centre in Hayes will benefit from the LIGHTNOW optical networking service, which offers high-capacity, ultra-resilient connectivity and already services 21 of London’s busiest data centres including the VIRTUS LONDON1 site in Enfield. Customers of the VIRTUS LONDON2 data centre will also benefit from optical waves, ethernet, IP transit and internet access following SSE Enterprise Telecoms’ investment in the facility.
An innovative PFI project in Hampshire – the largest of its kind in the world – has delivered massive savings for the local authority. Since 2010 it has reduced the local authority’s street lighting energy consumption by 21GW/hr per annum. This equates to a reduction of 41% - or enough electricity to power 3,500 homes for a year.
SSE Enterprise’s specialist lighting team recently picked up a top award for a health and safety initiative which has even been adopted by its clients. SSE Enterprise Lighting won the award for Best Health and Safety Initiative at this year’s Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) Annual Awards in London. It was the first time this particular award category has been introduced.
The SSE Enterprise Wales Senior Open culminated at the weekend with champion Paul Wesselingh presented with the trophy by SSE Enterprise’s Finance Director Jonathan Marsh.
